Escape?

More stuff from backlog.

In response to a comment left on an earlier comic, I didn't think I'd have to point this out explicitly, but the skeleton doesn't actually represent me. He always speaks from the first person, because that just makes more sense. But (as you can see by checking out the first post), he is something I drew, not me.

Hope that clears it up.

More Bitching

This bitching is actually outdated. I came up with this storyline as a filler piece a while back, so this was actually written a couple of months ago.

Interruption: WGA Strike

First off, here's the link for the WGA Strike page.

Second, for those that care, the shows in my "best" category include

1. (the ones that were cancelled, or in production for an unspecified date) Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, Firefly, the Venture Brothers

2. (the ones that began sucking ass after a while) Family Guy, Avatar, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

3. (the one that has nothing at all to do with the WGA) Slings & Arrows

I've taken a break from my break to make up this three-part rant on the strike. I just can't let crap like this pass without a proverbial disapproving frown. Though I hope that the networks eventually realize that the internet is an actual medium, it's certainly more complicated from where I'm sitting (which is in front of my computer).

Like I said above, I'm not enthusiastic about current TV programming, and a prolonged strike might force some innovation. Although if memory serves, last time "innovation" was forced, we got Reality TV. So that's really not somehthing I can be happy about either. I'm not sure how feasible it is to just hire writers that don't belong to the guild, or even bring in new talent, so I won't speculate about that.

Uh-oh

Moving On

This continues from last time. I might need to think of a way to make this page more user-friendly.

Break Time

Sooo... Here's a new comic.

For those of you who don't know (and now that I think about it, that's everryone other than me), I'm taking a freaking break. It happens every once in a while; I just have to get away from the table for a spell. Usually, it takes a couple of weeks. Month at the outside. I think I'll have enough finished Process Black to continue it for the duration, so really, this doesn't affect you unless you also read Warning: MCH (whose zombie-driven storyline will now have a pause).

Cyclical

If you've never seen Groundhog Day, you probably have no idea what the Bill Murray reference is doing here.

Copy Pen

Like it says, I'm not really in the possession ofmy computer right now. So for the next 12 hours or so, my profile is a blatant lie.

Just so you guys know; this week's EotU will be late. Apparently Mac had a busy week. And the MCH might be late. Due to my lack of computer. I'll try my best to get it done for tonight though.

Bitch, bitch, job searching sucks, bitch

That really just about says it all. For those of you who don't know; I've been looking for a job in my major for just over a month now. I'm coming up pockets, and I had to let off a little steam.

And that's what this page is for.

Non Sequitur

While I'm here, I may as well point out that I've put up voting buttons for Buzz and TWC near the bottom of the page. Feel free to use them, I'll be implementing some sort of rewards system soon. I might just steal SMBC's, but we shall see.

Parody

And that pretty much tells you exactly why I will go see the Comebacks the very day I am lobotomized. For those who don't get the reference, Piero Manzoni is an artist perhaps best known for his piece "Merde d'artista". The piece is widely seen as an ironic comment on the nature of art. Draw your own conclusions.

Cat!

Okay, so this probably deserves some explanation. I was going to say "it's a long story", but it really isn't. You see Process Black was originally developed for a proposed comic collective named "Kittens and Ammo". The cat pictured above (dressed in a Full-Metal-Jacket-style army helmet) was supposed to be this collective's mascot, and we had each agreed to use it in some way in our respective comics.

Now you know. [insert G.I. Joke]

Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned, but this comic is set to update on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule. I'll modify it as I go based on the amount of free time at my disposal.

About Me

lives behind a PowerBook G4 in Milton, Ontario. He's been drawing for most of his 24 years, except for a brief pause in 2003-2007 while he got his BDes and played D&D. So far, he's co-writen and drawn most of End of the Universe (the current story is being drawn by Mac Hillier), and written + drawn Warning: May Contain Hyperbole.
